Everything That Happens Will Happen Today, released on August 18,2008, was a collaboration between two amazing artists – David Byrne and Brian Eno. Leo Abrahams helped produce the album and also co-wrote “Strange Overtones.” This electronic gospel album was born after a dinner conversation where Brian Eno told David Byrne that he had accumulated a lot of music that he had never formed into songs.

I don’t think this tune is really underplayed but it’s a good one and I got a request for it. I think most people know who Matisyahu but then again, I don’t hear him often on the radio. He is an American Hasidic Jewish reggae musician. “One Day” is off of Matisyahu’s album Light which was released this past August.

I talked to way too many people this weekend that haven’t heard of MGMT. They have been Spin.com’s “Artist of the Day”, Rolling Stone’s top 10 “Artist to Watch”, and named as Last.fm’s most played artist of 2008. This one’s for everyone who has been hiding under a rock for the past two years.
