“A Change Is Gonna Come” is one of my favorite songs of all time. Sam Cooke is considered to be one of the pioneers and founders of soul music. He founded both a record label and a publishing company as an extension of his careers as a singer and composer. He also took an active part in the American Civil Rights Movement.

Jamie Lidell is a really funky guy whose music traverses across multiple genres. His song “Multiply” did pretty well and was used on the hit television show Grey’s Anatomy. “Game For Fools” has a really nice old school soul vibe.

I can’t get enough of the Gipsy Kings right now. This song has such a great melody and amazing rhythmic stuff going on. I would love to hear about your favorite Gipsy Kings song via comments on this blog post. The Gipsy Kings were born in France but their parents were gitanos, or Spanish Romanies. Their music is heavily influenced by Flamenco and the style is called Rumba Catalana.
